Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective (also known as Ace Ventura Jr. and Ace Ventura 3) is the second sequel to the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, although Jim Carrey does not appear in the film. The film, which began production in Orlando, Florida on September 17, 2007, was directed by David M. Evans and written by Jeff Sank, Jason Heimberg, and Justin Heimberg
The film was originally intended to be released to theaters in September of 2008, but this release was cancelled. It was ultimately released on TV via Cartoon Network on March 1, 2009, and the DVD was released on March 3rd, 2009 by Warner Home Video. International release dates are still pending.
Plot: The son of an eccentric detective steps into his father’s shoes after his mother is wrongly arrested for stealing a baby panda.
