Four Christmases (Four Holidays in Australia and New Zealand, Anywhere But Home in the Netherlands, Norway, United Arab Emirates and in South Africa) is a Christmas-themed romantic comedy film about a couple who go to see all four of their divorced parents in one day.
The film is produced by Spyglass Entertainment released by New Line Cinema on November 26, 2008, the day before Thanksgiving, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It stars Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon as a San Francisco, California, couple pressured into visiting all four of their divorced parents’ homes on Christmas Day. Sissy Spacek, Mary Steenburgen, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Voight, Jon Favreau, and Robert Duvall co-star. The film is director Seth Gordon’s first studio feature film.
Plot: Four Christmases looks hilarious, I love Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. There are a couple good actors also in this film. Unusual for a Christmas feel good themed movie to have so many popular and good actors. Now the movie is about a couple who is perfectly happy just being a couple, not married and not parents. They have been able each Christmas to avoid they’re family celebrations. Then by circumstances they end up having to go to all four family Christmas get together’s. In this process they end up reflecting on their own relationship and what they want out of life. The plot sound super serious but it’s not, seeing all these hilarious families celebrating Christmas in their own way. And watching two people who are obviously commitment phobic surrounded by all of this. I am so going to watch this movie.
