8 X 10 Tasveer poster 8 X 10 Tasveer 20098 X 10 Tasveer is a Bollywood thriller film starring Akshay Kumar and Ayesha Takia in the lead roles. It is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, and produced by Percept Picture Company.

The film features Sharmila Tagore, Javed Jaffrey, Anant Mahadevan, Girish Karnad, Benjamin Gilani, Rushad Rana, Andrea Tully, and Pia Shah in supporting roles. As of March 2008, the cast and crew is shooting in Calgary, Canada. It was previously called Tasveer, but changed due to the director’s insistence that the title was jinxed. The film’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman with a title track by Bohemia.

Plot: TASVEER, is a story of Jai (Akshay Kumar), a young man in his 30′s that has a supernatural gift of being able to delve in the past of dead people by touching an object belonging to them. His family, friends and even he at times is skeptical of this said power but Jai manages to eke out a living in this land so steeped in belief of the supernatural. His father, Jatin, though, feels very strongly that his son is wasting his life away on ‘mumbo jumbo’ instead of managing the vast business empire he has created and this leads to a complete breakdown of relationship between the two. Jai’s mother Savitri (Sharmila Tagore) cannot bear to be estranged from her only son and maintains a secret contact with Jai.
